Meet the Creator

Hello, I’m Rubi of RubiSlippers Creations! Nice to meet you! RubiSlippers Creations is my creative love child which I cherish deeply. Here’s a little info about how this all began.

I have always been artistic, working with mediums like clay, acrylic paint, and photography printing. Taking inspiration from Surreal artists (shout out to Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dali) and romantic poets, I tried to create a life of wonder. While hustling to get ahead at my manager position, being a professional dog walker, and private chauffer I was struggling to find time to be artistic and write (since I have a Bachelors in Liberal Arts with a Specialization in Creative Writing) and feeling like my career wasn’t honoring my passions.

2020 rolls around, and I am out of work since all my jobs were hands on with people. Ended up finding out I was pregnant with my only child and feeling a bit lost. Then the idea for this mama small business came to me while pregnant in Covid lockdown and once my baby girl was born I started experimenting, I’ve always loved photography and jewelry so I decided to try and turn this fun hobby into a business! With a little practice and LOTS of support from my family, friends, and especially my romantic partner I am now on year 2 of actually selling my wares while running this business from home and getting full time with my baby girl.

Every piece of jewelry is handmade and assembled by me. Every photography print was taken and printed by me. Every product photo, every package, every detail that goes into RubiSlippers Creations is done by me.

This small business is a labor of love that I enjoy Oh so much, and I thank every person who takes time to visit this website, looks at my Instagram, buys something of mine, comes to a vendor market, or just spreads the word. Thank you for making my dreams a reality. Thank you for supporting and shopping small when you are able.
