FAQ:

Question: “Best way to care for my items?”

Answer: For care and longevity please do the following.

  • Avoid Prolonged Direct Sunlight or excessive heat. For example if left in the car on a hot Texas summer day the resin may become soft, but DO NOT fear, place flat in a cool room and in about 20min it will harden again.

  • Avoid Excess Moisture, if you encounter water gently pat dry

  • When not in use store in a box or hung up

  • If Metal begins to tarnish use jewelry polish ONLY on metal elements. DO NOT submerge entire piece.

For Coaters, Ashtrays, etc. if they need cleaning simply use soap and water and gently wash and then pat softly and let air dry completely.

For Ashtrays: Though I use heat resistant Resin material, it is not advised to place the ember or flame directly onto tray as it may warp resin. Allow ember to burn out or remove.

Question: How do I care for my Keychain?

Answer: Take care of them how you would with a normal keychain.

Just remember the bigger your keychain charm is the more strain it will put on the metal so PLEASE DO NOT YANK ON KEYCHAIN IF CAUGHT ON SOMETHING. Gently remove it or untangle it. Be mindful that my resin is durable NOT indestructible. I have been told once that someone’s keychain fell off when the metal gave out when they “yanked it off their bag.” As with ANY keychain, when you do this, it can get loose, and charm may fall off.

Example: I have had my Letter R keychain on my keys for 3 years, it was one of the first ones I ever made, and I have definitely dropped my keys in that time, and never had an issue. Obviously, every keychain is different but as long as you never yank on the metal it will last and keep its design.

Question: “What if something breaks?”

Answer: Trusting the honor system here, if something breaks with no fault of your own or if a metal piece becomes loose or a charm falls off, if you message me and are willing to meet me at an upcoming market then I will gladly fix it for free.

HOWEVER, once an item is in your possession it is your responsibility to care for your creations as instructed. If something is yanked, dropped, broken more than just metal bending or a charm falling off I am not responsible for that as it was in your care.

Question: “How do you decide prices?”

Answer: The amount of material used, any additional decorative elements, and if was hand painted, and more importantly how long it took to create. I value my time and every small business should be paid what they are worth.

Which is why for custom orders I charge an additional $10 fee since Custom creations take me longer from the design, down to the packaging.

How do I use my self-defense keychain?

Depending on the style and design you chose, there are a few different ways to wield your personal protective keychain.

If you have one that has two finger holes (like the kitty, owl, F-off, heart, etc. designs) then you put your pointer and middle fingers into the holes and slide the keychain up to your knuckles for locked in, maximum comfort and effect.

If you have my push dagger inspired design, the handle can be placed between any two fingers (maximum effect if placed between pointer and middle finger).

If you have my “raptor claw” design, the handle/hole goes around your middle finger, and your thumb braces one grip and your pointer finger braces another.

If you chose to upgrade your keychain to include the detachable keychain loop, you have chosen wisely! I have a video HERE for a visual example, but it’s super easy and user friendly! Place your thumb on the “skinny” side and push in, the detachable element will release and you can free your keychain from your keys, bag, backpack, etc. with ease. To reattach the keychain press the “skinny” side in and release into the other side of the mechanism for it to be attached again.

Question: “How do you Use A Page Holder?

Answer: Place the page holder on your thumb, hold in crease or center of book, and when you are laying in bed, on the go, or just need an extra hand, the page holder will help hold the book open and help with tension in wrist. Need an example? CLICK HERE for demonstration.
