"Decaying Independently"

$20.00

Backstory: this beautiful Skull belongs to a white and orange cat that used to come into our yard, Sunbathe upon our garden walls, and was always a highlight of my day when I got to see her. She was hit in the road and pulled herself, broken and hurting, into our yard by our front gate to lay herself to rest.

My parents waited weeks before telling me that she was there. I went immediately to retrieve what was left. The vultures left only bones. But I carried them, easily seeing where she had been cracked. I have plans for her beautiful Skull, and this photo is only the beginning.

The Pears grew from our tree, and the heat shriveled them. The purple flowers are Mexican Petunias.

May the elements of this image sooth you, and know that when we depart, there is beauty in the decay.
